Tegan — every customer, every conversation

Changelog

What I shipped this week.

The most recent stuff at the top. Features, improvements, fixes, and the occasional behind-the-scenes note when something interesting shipped that you couldn't otherwise see.

Feature·May 30, 2026

Escalation emails with the reason attached

When I escalate a conversation, your team now gets an email — not just a dashboard entry. The subject line carries the reason in plain English, the body has the captured fields, my hypothesis, and a one-click link to the recording. Routing rules let you send to one address, a Google Group, or different inboxes by topic.

  • Email subject = the reason I escalated (e.g. "Customer asked for refund")
  • Body includes transcript snippet, captured fields, and link to the session
  • Route by topic, sentiment, plan tier, or specific phrases

Feature·May 28, 2026

Pop-out embed — sessions survive navigation and tab close

Added a fourth embed mode that breaks the conversation into a floating window outside your app frame. Users can navigate, switch tabs, or open new ones — the call keeps going. Useful for guided onboarding flows where the user needs to explore the app while still talking to me.

  • data-tegan-mode="popout" on the embed script
  • Survives full-page navigation within your app
  • Survives tab close — popout keeps the session alive in its own window

Feature·May 22, 2026

Screen-share vision stable across Chrome, Edge, Firefox

I can now read your user's screen at one frame per second across all major desktop browsers, and Safari with the usual mobile caveats. The big payoff: when a customer says "I don't see it," I point to where it actually is.

  • 1Hz frame capture on shared screens
  • Modal-dialog awareness so I don't give instructions for the background
  • Cross-browser tested on Chrome, Edge, Firefox; Safari (desktop + mobile) with documented caveats

Feature·May 18, 2026

Multi-user team access per agent

Each agent now supports multiple team members with permission roles — Owner (full control + billing), Editor (configure + review), Reviewer (read-only on sessions and analytics). CSMs can spot-check ratings without touching the goal sequence.

  • Three roles per agent: Owner, Editor, Reviewer
  • Invite by email; magic-link sign-in for invitees
  • Per-agent membership — same teammate can be Owner on one agent, Reviewer on another

Feature·May 14, 2026

Auto-evaluation refreshed — four signals per session

Every conversation is now scored automatically on four dimensions — Used your content, Brand voice, Stayed on topic, Helpfulness — each with a one-line written rationale. The score plus rationale land in your dashboard alongside the audio and transcript.

  • Four-signal evaluation with per-signal rationale
  • Reviewable in the dashboard against the full session recording
  • Trends roll up so you can see persona drift across a week of calls

Improvement·May 9, 2026

Calls under a minute don't count toward billing

We carved a sub-minute exemption out of the usage meter. Quick tests, false starts, and conversations that end in under a minute are free — the meter only starts running once the call passes the one-minute mark.

Feature·May 6, 2026

YouTube transcripts as a knowledge source

Paste any YouTube channel or playlist URL and the verbatim transcripts become searchable knowledge. Especially useful for products that ship most of their how-to content as video.

  • Channel and playlist ingest
  • Auto re-index when new videos publish
  • Citation back to the source video timestamp
