01
The agreement
By creating a Tegan account, embedding a Tegan agent on a site you control, or sharing a Tegan hosted page link with users, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
02
What we provide
A browser-based voice AI agent that you configure, point at your knowledge sources, and deploy to your users via a hosted page, embedded script, or pop-out window. Plus the supporting dashboard to review sessions, manage team access, and see analytics. Feature set is what you see on tegan.ai today — we ship improvements regularly; we don't silently remove load-bearing features without notice.
03
Pricing & billing
Standard pricing is $49/month per agent with 200 voice minutes included; overage is $0.20/minute. Calls that end in under one minute aren't counted. Free trial is 30 minutes, no credit card required.
We bill monthly in advance for the base plan and monthly in arrears for overage. Volume pricing for workloads above 5,000 minutes/month is available on request and is governed by a separate order form.
04
Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your workspace.
- Tell your end users that conversations are recorded — the agent will, but the underlying obligation lives with you under most jurisdictions.
- Only ingest knowledge sources you have the right to ingest.
- Don't use Tegan to break the law, harass people, or do the things in section 06.
05
Our responsibilities
- Run the service with commercially reasonable care, including security practices described on the security page.
- Notify you of incidents that affect your data without undue delay.
- Not train shared models on your customer data.
- Give you a clean export and deletion path on termination.
06
Acceptable use
Don't use Tegan to:
- Impersonate a human in a context where the law requires AI disclosure (we already do disclosure; don't disable it).
- Process protected health information (PHI), payment-card data, or other regulated categories outside what Tegan is built for.
- Build a competing voice-AI product by scraping our outputs or reverse-engineering the embed.
- Send spam, run scams, or otherwise abuse the call surface.
We may suspend a workspace that violates this section while we investigate, and terminate for cause if the violation is material.
07
Confidentiality
We treat the contents of your workspace — knowledge base, configuration, session recordings — as your confidential information. You treat any non-public technical details we share (architecture, roadmap, etc.) as ours.
08
Intellectual property
You own your knowledge sources, your configuration, and the recordings + transcripts produced by your agent. We own the Tegan service, the embed, the dashboard, and the underlying technology. Each side grants the other the licenses needed to make the service work.
09
Service availability
We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime measured at the embed endpoint. We'll publish a status page when traffic justifies it; in the meantime, write to support@tegan.ai if something looks broken.
10
Termination
You can cancel any time from the dashboard. We can terminate for non-payment, material breach, or end-of-life of the service (with at least 60 days' notice for the last). On termination, you can export your data within 30 days; after that, we delete it.
11
Warranties & disclaimers
We provide the service “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI outputs can be wrong; Tegan is designed to cite sources and admit uncertainty, but it's your responsibility to keep a human in the loop for decisions with consequences.
12
Limitation of liability
Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability under these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that can't be limited by law (fraud, willful misconduct, etc.).
13
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
14
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are notified via the dashboard at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the new version.
